Under the Global Broadband and Innovations (GBI) project of USAID’s Office of Energy and Infrastructure, Integra undertook an assessment of the Guatemalan ICT sector. The assessment report identified a number of constraints to both ICT expansion and the translation of ICT growth into improved development outcomes, identifying issues for the Guatemalan government, private sector, and civil society to tackle, and areas where USAID could provide development assistance.

This full study was completed through an in-depth literature review, interviews with key actors in both Africa and the U.S, as well as two field-based case studies in Burkina Faso and Kenya.
